Your Role
As an electronics system engineer, you will be responsible for the electronics and electrical architecture within our projects, from concept to realization. You always work together in a multidisciplinary team.
The projects range from developing products in the semiconductor industry to systems in aerospace.
As a system engineer, you are involved early on during the specification and concept phase of the project. This is where your conceptual and analytical skills come to the fore. You speak with the client and come up with a list of requirements in consultation with the architect and your team. You ensure that the subsequent architecture in your discipline is in line with the rest of the system. You are also primarily responsible for the realization of the electronics and electrical designs. You keep an eye on the link with embedded software. You manage the more junior colleagues and guide them in a coaching role.
In the detail phase and during assembly and testing, you monitor the work around the electronics. You work closely with the rest of the team to realize a system that can be built and verified. The interfaces between mechanics, embedded software and electronics play an important role in this.
Communication and cooperation are very important to achieve a good joint result.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic systems engineering or a similar position.
- Experience in defining requirements and developing system architecture.
- Experience with detailed hardware design (including schematic design and PCBA design) and embedded software development.
- Experience with system integration, verification and validation.
- Experience in drafting and maintaining technical documentation, such as requirements, design specifications, test plans and reports.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
