Lead Electrical

Engineer

Stryda is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team — someone who is passionate, driven, and ready to make an impact.

Why Stryda?

Stryda moves bold talent forward –
and that includes the team behind it all.

We’re building something different:
a human-first company that connects ambitious engineers to purpose driven careers that matter.

Through our network of forward-thinking companies across industries, we connect driven professionals with opportunities to make a real difference.

We focus on the person behind the expertise, shaping career paths that reflect each individual's strengths and future ambitions. Every journey is personal: built on trust, guided by insight, and designed for long-term growth.

Your Role

Connector and growth accelerator

In this role as a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will join the Electrical, Instrumentation & Process Control discipline of an international leader in industrial services. The company supports process industry customers across the full lifecycle of their plants, from engineering and construction to maintenance and renovation, all under one roof.

You will be the right hand of the department head and a trusted technical lead on complex, multidisciplinary projects in the energy transition, industry, pharma, and complex buildings. It is a role with real visibility and room to grow into a Specialist, Project Manager, or Engineering Manager position.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and coordination of complex electrical installations, from well-organised low-voltage systems to large-scale installations with major consumers (up to 20 MVA) and high-voltage grid connections (up to 150 kV)
  • Take ownership of the quality of the electrical design, including budget and planning, and flag scope changes proactively
  • Work alongside the project manager and the lead engineers of other disciplines, such as building services (civil and HVAC), piping, and process, to coordinate the project
  • Act as the face of the engineering team towards customers
  • Look beyond the initial request to understand the real need, define the right scope, and estimate the hours required
  • Set a clear vision for what the electrical installation should look like from the start of a project and communicate it with confidence to customers and colleagues
  • Cover the full electrical scope, including energy distribution, lighting, grounding and lightning protection, tracing, and communication systems
  • Oversee technical descriptions and cost estimates
  • Advise clients and chain partners on the best technical solutions
  • Manage one or more electrical engineers within your projects
  • Coach and guide juniors, starters, and interns in the department
  • Stay involved across all project phases, from conceptual engineering through to construction management
  • Work towards outcomes that matter, such as reduced emissions, energy savings, and safe installations

Requirements

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Around 10 years of relevant engineering experience in complex, multidisciplinary projects within industry
  • Solid knowledge of current electrical engineering concepts
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • A solution-oriented mindset and strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • A passion for technology, with coordinating and delegating work coming naturally to you
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with customers and colleagues
  • Team spirit and a flexible attitude, because every project is different
  • Fluency in English

What You Can Expect

  • A dynamic and high-tech work environment with innovative projects
  • Opportunities to learn, develop, and grow in your career
  • The chance to work on diverse projects, from medical technology to robotics and high-performance electronics
  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers
  • A stimulating workplace where you can take initiative and ownership
  • The opportunity to develop both technical and professional skills in a multidisciplinary setting
