Your Role
In this role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll work on innovative vehicle technologies, including zero-emission and autonomous systems. You'll be part of a talented engineering team designing the next generation of heavy-duty and industrial vehicles, from chassis and cabin systems to steering, suspension, and EV integration.
You'll bring deep mechanical design expertise and take ownership of your technical scope, while supporting and mentoring the engineers around you. Together, you'll design, develop, and optimise mechanical systems that make vehicles safer, cleaner, and more efficient.
What You’ll Do
- Create 3D designs and models for vehicle systems and components in advanced CAD software
- Translate functional requirements into clear technical designs, calculations, and engineering documentation
- Take ownership of design scope, planning, and quality throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyse structural performance, durability, and reliability across design iterations
- Guide prototype development, integration, and system validation together with testing and cross-functional teams
- Work closely with suppliers and production engineering to optimise manufacturability, assembly, and cost-efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
Requirements
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical or product design (vehicle or machinery experience preferred)
- Proven experience with 3D CAD and a solid understanding of design for manufacturability
- Knowledge of production techniques such as welding, cutting, bending, and machining
- A proactive, precise, and solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm for emerging technologies such as electrification, automation, and smart mobility
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Your colleagues describe you as hands-on, analytical, communicative, and easy to collaborate with
- Fluency in English
