Your Role
You will enjoy working daily on the development and realization of well-functioning control systems. You will be responsible for developing and programming the software, you will also supervise the commissioning process at the customer's site, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and programming PLC software (Siemens S7), among other things. You will also supervise the process of commissioning these installations. You will analyze the customers’ needs and record them in a functional design. You’ll test the written programs. You will also supervise the commissioning at the customer's site. You will localize and resolve faults and participate in the fault-clearing service.
You'll be responsible for:
• Take ownership of the full software engineering process — from concept to commissioning;
• Be responsible for designing, writing and programming PLC software (Siemens S7) and other platforms with the aim of optimizing the functioning of installations;
• Translate customer requirements into clear functional and technical specifications that form the foundation of your design;
• Test and optimize control software through both simulations and on-site practical trials to ensure reliable system performance;
• Commission systems at customer sites worldwide (approximately 10–20% travel) and provide on-site support during implementation;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of engineering processes, sharing your insights to enhance efficiency and quality across projects.
Requirements
• You have a completed a relevant Degree, for example: Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation;
• Preferably experience in machine building and an affinity with industrial automation and complex technical systems;
• You are willing to travel (throughout Netherlands and/or internationally) to commission installations on locatio;
• You can work well together, are analytical, flexible and show responsibility for your work;
• You have good communication skills in English (both spoken and written);
• You must have experience working with Siemens S7 software.
